REPORT ON BREAST FEEDING WEEK ON 03/08/2023

The 3rd year GNM Nursing Students under the Guidance of OBG department has organized and celebrated Breast feeding week day program on 3/08/2023 at Primary Health Centre in Vamanjoor.

Program began with a soulful prayer song, followed by a warm welcome speech, during which Dr. Kiran, in charge Medical Officer provided valuable information about the significance of breastfeeding. We further emphasized the crucial topic of encouraging mothers to breastfeed their children for at least six months, ensuring optimal infant nutrition and health, while also shedding light on the various advantages of breastfeeding and expertly demonstrating different breastfeeding positions to empower and educate the community member.

We creatively incorporated a fun-filled lucky game, adding an element of excitement and entertainment, to engage the participants and foster a sense of community spirit, alongside thought-provoking general knowledge questions to stimulate intellectual curiosity, thereby making the program both informative and enjoyable for all, and the event culminated with heartfelt expressions of appreciation and gratitude during the vote of thanks. The co-operation and contribution from the health team of PHC and participant was awesome. The program which was conducted by the students was well planned and it was needful.
